My Thoughts on The Curse of Lierath
A huge thank you to Vanessa, the author, for giving me an ARC of this book to review.
I DEVOURED this book! It was an easy read, great plot, lots of yearning and left me eagerly awaiting book 2 even though this books isn’t even out yet!
This book is a dark fantasy romance with wolf shifters, fated mates, he falls first, a cursed land and she doesn’t want the mating bond…I devoured this book! This book is a slow burn with lots of yearning, I’m thinking YA, so maybe a half 🌶️ rating. This was my first book from this author and I’d definitely read more from her.
The FMC is an assassin and was trained from the age of 15-25, she was told that if she ever met her mate she’d die. She was sent to kill the king of Lierath, who just happens to be a wolf shifter, that was the King of the cursed land.

Spoilers ahead……so stop reading if you haven’t read the book yet.
…and her mate!
Once she arrives in Lierath, her world is flipped upside down.
The oracle who trained her and who was her boss, lied to her about what the mating bond meant. The king was cursed – all that lived on his land were trapped to it and would turn to stone in around 200 years. So she decides to help the king and her mate figure out a way to bring back the god of the wolf shifters, so that he can break the curse.
I can’t spoil the entire book for you, so you’ll have to read it to find out what happens…but the book does end on a cliffhanger, and you’ll be ready and waiting to find out what happens in book 2.
